Ok- I'm back

It always feels like I neglect my blog- notice the date- duh. Well- a lot happened this year, lost some old friends, gained some new.
Knitting has taken over my life in the past month. Christmas and a low bank account does that to me. I love to give people gifts, but this year is the first year I am glad that we exchange names, so only 4 gifts. Mom, Dad, Rich and my secret exchange in the family. I have knitted my SS wristlets, a small cowl and now am working on yoga socks. She is one that will appreciate the homemade gifts. But I feel guilty, when I add up the amount of yarn it doesn't seem like much. Then a "Duh" hits me- geez- my time and the love I put into them is priceless. I just don't think of that!! Oh- I also made my counsler a heavy neck cowl for when she rides her Harley in cold weather, but then I made her a pretty cowl for when she goes to work. I still might whip up a pair of half gloves for her- haven't decided yet!!

got snow?

Oh my, I don't believe the amount of snow we have!! It melts down a little- then BAM - more snow!! So I have been watching the birdies puff up to stay warm.
I have FINALLY gotten all the Sherilynn Kenyons Dark Hunter series, Yummy reading!!

she is a real size woman that the were-hunter has fallen for, and she gets a lot of crap for it. I love these books- they show that woman don't have to be a size 2 to be sexy.

Ok- blame Twilight!!

I have this cool blog, and I don't get to write too much! So- Survived the great Christmas 2008. Guess that's a plus. Got to put on some pictures of my knitting. I have (bowing down to the great knitters on Ravelrys Twilight Saga Fans) made 2 pairs of Bella mittens. Been reading like a fiend, such an addiction. I wish I could read AND knit, but I'm not that fond of audio books. Sometimes the people that read them freak me out.
So, about Twilight- my cousin gave me the book in August, I read it twice, then got the rest of the series. I have yet to see the movie (I know- boooo) but I have pre-ordered the DVD!! I have 2 bookmarks and the key chains, so I am not too much of a goof, but it's all in fun! I have joined a couple of online groups, Twilighters Anoymous is my personal favorite. And, as you can see- I like the naughty Vampires!!
So that has gotten me reading anything with a Vampire love story. I even read Dracula, Bram Stokers- naturally. It's been neat. A lot of authors I wouldn't normally have found! Then the websites devoted to them- WOW!!
So- I hope to blog more, combine my love for knitting and reading!!

Baby

This is Baby- I have had her since Fall 2003- she was feral- we caught her, she was about 12 weeks old- she was going to be adopted, but my Dad said he didn't want her to go through being scared again- she is still shy around people, but she loves our new addition - Tasha- so here she is with Tasha.
